Tonight we had my boyfriend of almost 2 years, Zane, over for dinner. It wasnt a big deal, he comes over every now and then. But hes been up in Santa Barbara at college for a long time and hes on spring break right now, so it was nice to have him over.
We made perogies (the only time hes ever eaten them is with us, weird, Ive always eaten perogies!), ravioli (cuz my stepdad doesnt eat perogies), asparagus (my boyfriend loves veggies! what a great guy! haha), and a huge ball of bread we got at the store today. Oh, and I made a fabu salad with the help of my mom. We love experimenting with salad, but we made our classic fav salad tonight….lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese (moms fav cheese), walnuts, and for the dressing we just throw in some olive oil, lemon juice, and salt and pepper. Fab! My favorite part might have to be the walnuts. I just love walnuts. I could eat a whole jar of them. I love them best in my oatmeal!!!!
So….I call these crack chips. They are triscuits in the garlic flavor. We just bought them last night, I almost ate the whole bad. I had to set this bowl near the couch with my boyfriend and stepdad, and made them eat them! I had enough last night. But I didnt set it down before I had just one more

This is the asparagus tower, before we cooked them. Yum, asparagus!
This is my plate. Im addicted to ketchup, and I dont care who knows it!!! I put it on everything. EVERYTHING. It is Gods gift, and I refuse to ignore it. I had a ton of salad, my 5 or 6 asparagus stalks, 2 or 3 ravioli, and 3 perogies. And my piece of bread with butter on the side. I went back for another half of bread, more salad, and I think 2 more ravioli.
This is our yummy salad! Look at that! Wowowewa.
The day before Easter, I told my dad I wanted to do Lent. Well….what good is giving something up for a day?! My daddy told me that we should do our own lent, so we decided to start the day after Easter, considering we were having hot cross buns on Easter, and we decided to give up sweets. Now…that doesnt mean all sugar, because then I couldnt have my beloved ketchup, and he couldnt have his beloved muffins! It pretty much means cookies, brownies, cake, pie…stuff like that. Last night I made brownies for my family, they wanted some and IM the designated baker, and it was so hard to resist, they kept raving about how good they were!!! Ahhhhh! But Im thinking it will (maybe) help me to lose weight, it will (hopefully) make me feel better because Im putting less sugar and crap into my body (I like sugar and crap….), and it will just be nice to know I can NOT eat them when I want to. I just wanted to participate in it for once….whatever. So, Ive been eating stuff after dinner, but not dessert stuff.
Tonight, while my mom and stepdad ate apple turnovers and my boyfriend had a mini cupcake, I had one of my new TLC pumpkin spice flax granola bars. Not usually my go to dessert, but we just bought them today and it was a good time to try them. Man oh man they’re good. I love pumpkin and pumpkin spice, and these smelt just like pumpkin pie. They were really good! Not a very good dessert, cuz it wasnt sweet, but Im glad theyre good. Then I had another huge slice of bread with butter. What can I say, carbs are my favorite food.
Ive been drinking a lot of diet tea and diet coke to try to stop munching, but I want to go back for more! ahhhhhhhh.
Off to watch Americas Best Dance Crew, and do my nightly exercises!
Ciao, bellas <3

haha i’ve never had perogies either! but they sure look good! and it’s weird because I’ve pretty much tried the food of almost every culture! i heard they are amazing though- some day!! and wow that salad looks great! I had a kashi pumpkin spice bar today too
! happy friday!
EXCUSE ME miss LOLAFUNK…BUT I think Zane better watch out because as everyone who’s ever known me knows, I. am. obSESSED. with. KETCHUP. I put it on everything, as well…(yes, it’s gross, salads, Fish, I dip veggies in it, etc). That was until I started getting these sores along my throat and my throat would be irritated and itchy after meals. I found out that, yes, I AM ALLERGIC TO KETCHUP. Holy mother of G-d, it was like being hit in the face with a MAC TRUCK.
Interesting part of this? I find that I am more satisfied with my meals WITHOUT the ketchup bc I can actually t.a.s.t.e my food now. LOL. I still loooove ketchup and cannot have things like Turkey meatloaf without it, but I have to be super careful!
Anyways, I think we’re soulmates
Maybe I should tell my boyfriend that lol…
(PS) THOSE ASPARAGUS ARE SO GORGEOUS! I bought some yesterday at WF, but they weren’t nearly as hearty as yours! I’m jealous
Can I have some?
Happy Friday!
Hahahahah oh man, yes I put ketchup on my veggies, fish, salads. Its amazing!!!
My boyfriend thinks Im ruining everything, but really it just hightens the amazingness of all foods. Its true.
What a shame that youre allergic. I might kill myself….
The only problem I have with it is that it has a lot of sugar, but I dont even think about that when Im eating it.
I loveeee asparagus! They were gorgeous, and sooo tasty after we cooked em. Yummy!
Man, i havent had perogies in forever. Ive never tried them with ketchup, but I eat kethcup constantly, too. i heard somewher its a sign of weak taste buds. Whatev.
Your salad looks amazing. i never have fun salad fixin’s.

I saw your photo questions on other people’s blogs. I upload my photos on photobucket (you can do flickr too) and then resize them (i found that 430 pixels wide is pretty perfect) then copy and past the url into the post. does that make sense? also, this way the photos don’t take up any room on the actual blog so you never have to worry about running out of room!!
let me know if you have any more questions.
Lola–argh!!! I called you the wrong name!!! such an idiot i am. if only I could edit my comment. sorry!!
Hey there! Ok, I tried to answer your questions. Here goes:
Ok- the pictures. I resize mine before I upload them. That makes it WAY easier. I don’t know how you do it if you have a Mac, but I use Microsoft photo editor on my PC. When my camera uploads my pics they are HUGE and so I usually shrink them to about 15% of their original size. Sometimes I’ll still size them in WordPress, but having them smaller to begin with is way easier. You can also crop, adjust the colors, and rotate them in Photo Editor. I don’t know how to rotate the photos in wordpress, but to shrink or enlarge them and keep them scaled, you would click and drag one of the corners, not a side because then it’ll get all weird, and it’s hard to get it back to scale.
For the blog roll and tag cloud- When you are logged in to wordpress, any wordpress site you go to should have a bar at the top were you can click ‘my dashboard’ then you should be able to follow a link that says ‘blogroll’ and add or change your blogroll from there. For the tag cloud- I don’t use one, but I think that from that main editing page (the same one you got when you clicked dashboard) you should be able to click on ‘presentation’ and then ‘widgets’ I only use the main side bar. You can choose from the options below the ‘main side bar’ for what you want to be on that side bar. There should be an option for ‘tag cloud’ that you can drag into that main side bar column. As far as I know, when your tags automatically appear there with the biggest ones being the things you tag most often. But, like I said, I don’t use one (mostly because I’m too lazy to tag) so I’m not sure on that. Of course, make sure you click ’save changes’ after your done.
Let me know if that was the info you needed and if you need more help! Good Luck!
And that dinner looks great!
Ahhh thanks so much guys! Off to attempt blogroll and tag cloud…
HEY HOTSTUFF…Since you didn’t “expect” to be tagged, I’m tagging your ass right here, right now! Haha, I don’t care if I was onlly supposed to tag 4 ppl!
NIGHT!
I used to be a ketchup addict myself, but I’ve cut back on my usage considerably over the past few years. Still, there are certain foods that just have to have ketchup.
